The mission of GIKK Ortho Specialists has been, and always will be, to provide the best possible orthopaedic care for our patients.
GIKK Ortho Specialists was founded in 1949 by Joseph F. Gross, M.D. GIKK Ortho Specialists is a group of orthopaedists who have each elected to focus their practice on one anatomic area of orthopaedic surgery. These talented individuals hold themselves to the highest standard of care by pursuing special training and expertise in their area of interest and focusing their practice on this area of subspecialization.
Subspecialized orthopaedic care is achieved by dividing the body into smaller, more manageable parts, much like internal medicine physicians have done by specializing in cardiology or pulmonary medicine. This allows each orthopaedist to have an area of orthopaedics in which there is additional training, a higher level of expertise, and an area on which to focus continued education and research. |
